The year 2014 was a great success for Tannenhof’s Download. Leif Hamberger earned high placements with the big-framed, shiny stallion in medium level dressage horse ability competitions. Download is now trained to be introduced at the advanced level.
The gracious and self-confident dressage prospect with the dazzling black-coloured coat, the noble and appealing personality and big-framed conformation, exhibits three amazing basic gaits. He impresses with his ground-covering canter and besides, his work ethic and eagerness to collect are hard to top.
The pedigree is a “summit meeting” of the very best “black bloodlines”: There are predominantly black-coated ancestors in the first generations of the pedigree so that it is very likely that the popular black colour will be passed on to the next generations.
His sire Desperados was nominated Premium Stallion at his stallion licensing in Verden. He started with many victories achieved in riding horse ability classes including the 2004 Hanoverian Riding Horse Championships, the bronze medal at the 2004 and 2005 Federal Championships, the victory at the 2010 German Dressage Derby in Hamburg and the Olympic silver medal in London in 2012 with Kristina Sprehe – his show passport features successes achieved at almost all important dressage tests.
His dam Wanessa has the same black colour as his sire Desperados. Wanessa’s sire Wesley combines the genetic properties of trademark stallion Weltmeyer, who is considerably represented in the pedigree, with the hereditary traits of DLG-winner Atatürk.
The also black-coated sire Ludendorff in the third generation has established a brilliant reputation as producer of easy to ride dressage and show jumping horses in the north-western part of Germany. He is frequently represented in the pedigree of performance horses. Dirk, awarded with a number of DLG-prizes, can be found further down in the fourth generation. He was a particularly versatile sire and is therefore known as valuable component in the pedigree of performance horses.
Download descends from the Hanoverian dam line 601/Hellada (by Honorat – Defilant – Coriolan xx etc.) that produced a number of outstanding horses.
The big-framed youngster successfully completed his stallion performance test in 2011 (131 points, performance category I) and won riding horse ability classes in a row in 2012. His show passport features a number of convincing victories with fantastic partial marks such as 8.5 for his trot and his canter and 9 for his conformation.
And his progeny are as convincing. A particularly light-footed filly out of a dam by Fürstenreich finished fourth at the 2013 Tannenhof Foal Championships. A brilliantly moving colt by Download x Sir Sinclair was rewarded with partial scores of 9 for his basic gaits.
Offspring of Download finished sixth and eighth in the division of colts at the 2014 Tannenhof Foal Championships.
